The Wildcat Community, Inc is a multi-community mountain property-owner corporation established in 2006. The corporation became a 501 (C) 3 Non-profit organization in 2007 under the Internal Revenue Code. The corporation was formed for the below purposes; however, the corporation can add additional missions as deemed necessary.
  • To educate property owners in the mountain area in risk mitigation and emergency incident response management associated with wildland/urban interface fires.
  • Provide funds to enhance resources to support emergency management capabilities.
  • Interface with all state, local, and federal authorities and agencies associated with emergency management.
  • Manage the Community's FireWise Program.
The Monument Road Fire Station is a joint project of Pickens and Dawson County government and the Wildcat Community Inc. The pictures to the right show the building of the station, completed in June 2009.
